Netflix recommendation - Horrible Histories

Ben, 11-years-old: "I enjoy the gross parts and the battle scenes which they make funny."
Evie, 9-years-old: "This is a really funny show and I also learn a lot about history when I watch it."

Parent review: Educational and seriously funny, the "Horrible Histories" television series on Netflix is guaranteed to help your child retain information about historic world events in a way that they don't even know they're learning. This BBC-CBBC production is seriously entertaining and I couldn't seem to stop watching it with them as I found it to be excellent entertainment. It's likely best for children 7 and above as it does delve into the violent  past of our ancestors, although in a humorous way. Read more about it at http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/shows/horrible-histories.

My children also have the Horrible Histories books, but say they are nowhere near as funny.
